Sometimes you come across stories that just touch your heart – that’s exactly what happened when we found the Instagram account @nickcreateswithpower.
Behind it is Nick, an autistic boy from America. What makes him so special? Through his creative approach, he’s developed a unique way of creating artwork. Using acrylic paint, a canvas, and – yes, this is not a joke – a power drill, he turns names, company logos, and wordmarks into incredible art pieces.
But there’s more to Nick’s art: he has a big dream. He wants to take his family to Disneyland in Orlando and stay in his dream hotel. To make that dream come true, Nick sells his artwork.
We knew right away that we wanted to help Nick! So, we commissioned two pieces in Haldertools’ signature black and white from him, featuring our company logo. Despite using the same technique, both pieces are totally unique. One now hangs proudly in our office, bringing a piece of Nick’s creative energy into our workspace every day. The other was raffled off on our Instagram account @haldertools to help raise awareness for Nick’s story.
But that wasn’t all: for every participant in the raffle, we donated $1 to Nick. In the end, we rounded up the total to $1,000 – and we hope this will bring him closer to realizing his dream. We’re proud to support Nick on his journey, and we’re rooting for him to soon make his dream trip to Disneyland with his family.
